Camp Canyon prides itself on its exceptional staff. All staff have prior camp experience and a desire to give the children the best summer experience possible.
RABBI Daniel & Avital Hudson
Directors
Avital (Tali) was born to Russian-Israeli immigrants in sunny California. Being the oldest daughter her experience with children started early on. Tali started working as a junior counselor at Gan Camarillo Preschool at the age of 14. She quickly became a counselor and head counselor at 16 & 17 in CGI Nevato, CGI Moorpark California and Camp Chomeish in Connecticut. When Avital moved to New York she continued working and directing curricula for children of all ages in Hebrew schools in Long Island and Westport, Connecticut. Avital has 4 years of Special needs and disabled children experience between Friendship Circle LA and as a Paraeducator at Oholei Torah in NY. Avital also worked as the unofficial "camp therapist" in Camp Chomeish for kids and teens last summer.
Rabbi Daniel grew up in West Hartford, CT and Montreal, Canada. He first worked with children in West Hartford’s Friendship Circle before getting his education at Concordia University, Montreal. He directed the English and TOEFL tutoring program at Noorlan Academy, a remote learning platform for Uighur refugees based out of Toronto, Canada, before getting his rabbinical education at the Rabbinical College of America. Rabbi Daniel has always been passionate about helping anyone that comes his way during their path of learning and growth.
Rabbi Daniel and Avital have spent the past few months meticulously planning every detail of Camp Canyon to ensure that all the campers have the best and most memorable summer experience in Flagstaff!
Moran Henn
Director of Outdoor Adventures
Moran holds a B.S in Conservation Biology and Outdoor Recreation Tourism from the University of Idaho and an M.S in Environmental Sciences and Policy from NAU. She has worked for governmental and state agencies, managed non-profit organizations, taught as a graduate assistant at NAU, and has considerable experience in community organizing. She is currently the Executive Director at Willow Bend Environmental Education Center.
Menucha Albukerk
ADVENTURE DIVISION COUNSELOR
Hi there! I'm Menucha Albukerk from New York, and I'm counting down the days until camp begins! I value educating children in a safe and loving way, and paving the direction of children's growth through exciting experiences. I love gymnastics and art and feeling the camp spirit! I am honored to be part of that process for the children at Camp Canyon of Flagstaff.
I've spent the past 6 summers being a day camp counselor, and this past year I was an assistant kindergarten teacher in Toronto, Canada. After a significant amount of experience with children, I graduated from the teachers training course in Beth Rivkah Division of Higher Learning. I cannot wait to make this summer one to remember!
Rochele Lew
ADVENTURE DIVISION COUNSELOR
Hi, I’m Rochele Lew from California. I’m so excited to be able to join Camp Canyon this summer!
I’ve been a camp counselor for the past few years and have been teaching preschool for two years. I’m so excited to meet the campers and have an amazing and fun time this Summer!

Leah Schwartz
ADVENTURE DIVISION COUNSELOR
Hi, I'm Leah Schwartz and I'm looking forward to a spectacular summer! Born and raised in sunny Southern California, I've nurtured a deep appreciation for the beauties of nature. Prior to now, I've worked as a counselor in many day camps, and as Camp Friend and Electives Director in overnight camp. I believe there is nothing more important than empowering the next generation, so I look forward to giving my campers the summer of their lives. I can't wait to join the team at Camp Canyon!

Ashley Duggar
KIDDIE CAMP COUNSELOR
Hi, I’m Ashley Dugger. I grew up in Phoenix and recently earned a degree in psychology from NAU. I cultivated my rapport with young children by caring for my young sister while my parents were working. I loved caring for her, teaching her and watching her learn and grow. I have been working as the Kita Alef Teacher’s Aide at Chabad of Flagstaff’s TevaTots Preschool for two years. Spending time with kids is my absolute favorite thing to do! I am looking forward to being a counselor for Camp Canyon.

Shyla Preston
KIDDIE CAMP COUNSELOR
Hi, I’m Shyla Preston and live in Flagstaff, Arizona. I am the Kita Alef Lead Teacher at Teva Tots Preschool and a returning Camp Counselor from last summer! I am certified in Medication Administration in the Child Care Environment, Coping with Crisis and Traumatic Events, Child abuse, Signs of abuse, and Reporting Requirements for Early childhood Professionals.

Hi! My name is Chaia Rosenberg. I'm from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I'm so excited to be part of the staff at Camp Canyon this summer!
Having the experience of being a counselor in a few camps in Brazil, Canada and USA I am excited to start this new adventure! I'm looking forward to making a special and memorable summer for the campers. Can't wait to meet each one of you!
